Hey Dan I'm the crazy artist, musician guy
from Kentucky born on August 13th, 1961. ha-ha ....my name is Wendell Williams.....I have prostate problems as well...we may be real kindred spirits ...I am 44 years old now...I do get the PSA...and pray to God to keep me alive....man's youth is full of magic and pain and he never grows to know it as it is until it is gone forever... Dan I don't believe no one ever has to die....when I looked in to the face of my 80 year old mother on Feb. 5th ...I said this (if there is no life after death there is no life before it.)...we are here to serve God, that is our purpose...and no other ...Dan your music is a gift from God ...it was healing to me when I was a young depressed man in South East Kentucky...I went to sleep with your vinyl on the record player...I found hopeful words in the songs....when all the other music had none....I want to return this to you God bless you Dan and in Faith in Christ the best is yet to come....flesh and blood will not go to heaven ...Keep your soul alive in Jesus no sickness will ever last ......we are reaching up out of the clay...and cracks appear in our flesh as we reach higher to heaven to become more like Christ ......God bless you I feel you have been through a lot ....God bless you Dan ......and Long life in this world and in the after life as well ;) |

I hope Dan realizes just
how much his music means to those of us who are so touched by his
beautiful lyrics and soothing voice. I pray wholeheartedly for every bit
of good news that may come from his health getting stronger and
stronger.

Best wishes to you Dan - An early PSA
test saved me as well; diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at age 47.
Treatment was successful and life remains good.
P.S. I play a Guild JF-30. Still diggin'
the music.

Brett, If you can get this message to Dan, Tahitian Noni Juice has greatly benefited cancer patients. There should be someone close that sells the original stuff or he can go to my site at www.tni.com/2177754 Make sure he gets the real stuff which is 9 times the potency as the Wal-Mart type. Doctors in Houston are giving their patients a 32 ounce bottle a day. Have Dan talk to his
doctor as they are listed in the 2005 edition (PDR) Physicians Desk
Reference on pages 516, 777 and 778. It is sure worth the try for the
possibilities of this wonder fruit. Philip & Althea Neesley |

Dear Dan. Just a note to say I pray for you daily. When I come to this web site I marvel at how Brett has captured the essence of your music and the mysticism that I feel when I listen to most of it. You are the only artist who has song not only to my heart, but you have sung my heart! You have captured my very soul with your music. I will tell you about a dream I had 2 years ago I believe it was this month. I dreamt that we were both little sparkles of light about the size of a quarter. We were flying and racing through the clouds and through the heavens. We were laughing and singing and seeing many places we had never seen before. It was as if we were spirits/souls who have finally been united and were at last set free! We raced around happily and freely looking down on everything and looking above as that is where are journey would end. Shame on me, I was sleeping with my boyfriend that night /morning and I told him about my dream when he awoke. He knows how much I love you so it didn't really phase him. He did think it was a bit weird but not completely inconceivable. I do hope that someday that dream will come true, but not in the near future. I think we still have some living to do here on earth for awhile. God Bless you and may you fully be healed in whatever ways the Lord would like to heal you! Much love and Peace to you
and yours, |

Mr. Fogelberg,
Chances are you won't be reading this letter yourself but
I'll send it anyway. I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed your
music over the years. I have a few of your albums and have played them
so much that I have worn them down a bit but there's nothing like
listening to them on the original albums. I wish you well and have no
doubt you will make a full recovery. You were destined to write music
and still have many more songs to go.
Sincerely
Michael

Last weekend I saw a performance by Dan
Fogelberg on Soundstage (I have no idea when the performance took
place). But It made me remember decades ago when I used to drive to my
gigs (I was in a cover band in the D.C., MD, VA areas) listening to
Nether Lands. It's one of best albums I've ever heard in my life. I
was addicted to it. Anyway, I recently discovered Dan's battle with
Prostate Cancer on his website and I just wanted to convey my best
wishes to him. He's the greatest. Thanks!

aren't I? I have your albums, what the hell are those? (kids would
say) I fall to sleep every night listening to your music. I just hope
and pray that you are doing well, and that someday you will play for
us again. I will be there. much love-cinder

Hi
Brett,
I
wanted to say "thanks" for putting together such an impressive and
wonderful website! I honestly can't remember how I stumbled
across your site but have since forwarded the link to my cousin who is
a fellow Dan Fan. I've been searching on and off for a site to
visit in addition to the Wishes Page that Debbie and Laurie are
keeping up with. I check their wishes page daily for any
possible updates and have posted messages on there several times over
the past couple of years. I guess the "no news is good news"
saying just doesn't sit well with me this time. I'm just so
concerned about Dan's health and would give anything to know how he's
doing. By the looks of the other posts on the wishes page, I'm
definitely not alone in feeling that way.
Anyway, as I told my cousin, I feel as though I've hit the mother lode
of info with your website. I love it and all of the work you've
done with it. Just had to write and tell you how I felt.

To whom it may concern or probably more accurately Mr.
Brett Smith: I do wish Dan strength to endure the trials this world has dealt him. I wish him good health and wish he could contact my friend mentioned in the subject line of this email, Dr. V. Peters. She is a naturopathic Dr. and can possibly make things better for Dan. Even if only to help him in understanding the cancer but hopefully in making him well. Her email address is to be kept confidential but you can reciprocate correspondence via this web site by clicking here Contact Dr. V Peters. Dr. Peters has a doctorate degree in nutrition and is of natural Jewish heritage and her mother who lived to be 94 raised her to be was a Naturopathic Dr. too! Please get this information to Dan Fogelberg if you could please. Dr. Peters mother became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and also passed the knowledge spoken of at John 17:3 to Dr. Peters and she also is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. John 17:3 quoted from The New World Translation Of The Holy Scriptures: "3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." I also am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and have been a fan of Dan's since seeing him in St. Louis, MO. in 1976 on, I think Jan. 10, as the opening act for The Eagles. I saw him again in the early 1990's at Riverport Amphitheater outside and was impressed with his concern for the environment and animal life and subsequently tried to get a publication from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, the publishing Corp. of Jehovah's Witnesses, to Dan. It was titled Life-How Did It Get Here By Evolution or Creation. I do not know if he received it. Please do all you can to get Dan to contact Dr. Peters for his benefit and continued battle with his cancer. I hope this will be "Part Of The Plan!" Sincerely, Kind regards, and warmest Christian Love, Randy N. One of Jehovah's Witnesses from A Congregation Of Jehovah's Witnesses. |
