The Storm

Well, out of the blue skies,
Out of pure blind neglect,
Something is rising,
Fools say it isn't here yet.

The Puppet he tells us,
And his puppeteers too,
Buy yourself a Hummer boys,
We got drilling in Alaska to do.

Welcome to the storm,
Long hot and mean.
One of destruction,
Like nothing we've ever seen.

Should he beg forgiveness,
For ignoring Earths needs,
Should he talk to his God
Up high in the sky,
On two bent knees?

Do you think She'll forgive him.
For the poor choices he's made,
Like putting your checkbook and mine,
Ahead of our planets fate?

(repeat chorus)

Well, the ice caps are melting,
As the oceans warm.
When there's no more sushi in the bars,
Maybe then those yuppies
can consider themselves warned,
And...
(
repeat chorus twice)

Song Revised
I felt with the tides of the deeds of this administration,
It's love for the oil companies and Haliburton, Enron,
and so, so many others getting off the hook with their
off shore tax shelters, raping of peoples retirements,
raping of fair prices for power in states.  A time
comes when not speaking out your belief, leaves you trampled.
This obviously if neglected by enough people would be like
giving the environment and Earths creatures, a death sentence.
Here is a cut down version of The Storm on acoustic.
I hope we all can agree that making a stand, regardless
of the side you come down on, is better than being walked on.
Life isn't a two time shot, it doesn't come with reverse installed.
We are created to create, not doing so through the visions
and thoughts we have, is not only cheating those that may
someday listen, but yourself as well.
Thanks for listening.
