On November 29, 2006 some spammer(s) launched e-mail campaigns that look like messages sent by Ever On (everon.info). This is known as email/domain spoofing.
Spoof email is totally beyond our control, and we regret very much that we cannot stop it any more than those who get those emails.
BE IT HEREBY KNOWN
Ever On has nothing to do with such spam, which is a
misrepresentation of its good name.
Ever On does not send, and has never sent, spam email of any sort.
Ever On strongly opposes the act of "spamming" or sending unsolicited commercial
email (UCE) and unsolicited bulk email (UBE).
What is E-mail Spoofing? (Faking or
Forging or Phishing)
"E-mail Spoofing" is the latest nasty trend in spam, it is the practice used by
many spammers to falsify the header information in their e-mail advertisements.
It is unfortunate but many spammers use listed corporations that have well known
names as their header spoof. Most spammers are out to make a buck using the
good names of the corporations they spoof.
By changing the header information someone can make the email appear to come from whoever they choose. Some spammers even go as far as include one of the spoofed companies voice mail phone numbers to make it seem legit. Ever On as well as other very respected web sites, corporations and private companies from time to time become the target of spammers as well as from time to time we are spoofed.
Hackers are now routinely stealing the e-mail or web site identities of many people on the web, and using them to send millions of pieces of junk advertising or offending e-mails. The average person on the Internet doesn't yet understand what's happening here, and many legitimate companies are obviously being victimized.
I have been researching this since November 29, 2006 in the attempt to find out what can be done to stop the spammers from using everon.info in their forged email headers which makes it appear as the spam email originated from this web site. It is very frustrating because the email headers are forged making it very difficult to trace the emails to their origin but I have not given up.
I have received thousands of bounced emails in the ten days since the spamming started. (Bounced emails are those that could not be delivered to the intended recipient for various reasons.) I have read that I need to be patient and it will stop after a short time of approximately a week. On day one I received 137 emails, day two netted 363 emails. It then slowed for five days and I thought it was over. Then on December 6-7 I was flooded with over 1000 emails. And the last two days have been relatively quiet so we'll see...
A couple of the emails contained the original email so I was able to see the spam and the link to the web sites where one could, if they so chose, could help put money in the spammers pockets by purchasing from these sites. The first one I checked, http://advizehint.com/ , was no longer on-line. When I checked domain whois information on this web site I see it was registered on December 3, 2006 and suspended on December 7, 2006 - the date of the email. The second one I checked, http://laryslarys.com/ , was still on-line at the time of this posting. When I checked domain whois information on this web site I see it was registered on December 4, 2006 and is still valid.
I started preparing this post on December 9, 2006 when the bounced emails had stopped for two days. It is December 10, 2006 and they have started up again. Another one came in containing the original email so I was able to see the spam and the link to the site. http://densitylow.com/ was still on-line at the time of this posting. When I checked domain whois information on this web site I see it was registered on December 4, 2006 and is still valid.

Hi Brett,
(I have a question that has been bothering me and my brother and maybe you can help.)
Dan's painting on the inside of Souvenirs has a calendar and the date circled is Sunday, August 13. We all know, Dan was born on August 13, 51; but that year it fell on a Monday. So the circled date does NOT represent his birth date. Since Souvenirs was released in 1974 the only years August 13 fell on a Sunday were 1961, 1967 and 1972.
Is there any significance for Dan, on his birthday, when he turned 10, 16 or 21? Please write back if you can...or can suggest someone else who may know.

Right off the top of my head I think Dan’s first album, Home Free, came out in 1972 – one of the years that you have listed with August 13 falling on a Sunday – that could be the reason – or – maybe the year he painted it he could have checked the calendar and that may have been in 1961 – age 10, 1967 – age 16 or 1972 – age 21. I will put this question to the masses in the morning by posting it on the main page at Ever On and at the forum. That’s the first time anyone has asked that question and it makes me smile that you researched what you could as far as years with Sundays on August 13. Good question.

Love your site. I saw the page with the instruments and wondered about the one you have marked “D-35 #2”. I recently bought a D-35 that belonged to Dan from Gruhn Guitars and wondered if this is the one you showcased on your site. The D-35 #1 you have listed was also for sale but it was a bit more than I could afford. The one I bought was his bus guitar and it sounds absolutely awesome. Do you have any further information on the #2 D-35?

Great website
Stumbled upon this looking for the Innocent Age sheet music songbook.
First (and BEST) Fogelberg concert:
1977 or 78 Princeton University gymnasium
It was after the Netherlands was released but he was solo, acoustic except for Tim Weisberg whom he brought out to join him on some of the Twin Sons songs. Twin Sons was released shortly afterward because I remember waiting for it and rejoicing when it finally hit the stores.
As I remember it the audience picked up on the vocals because a few times Dan stopped singing and the whole gym was filled with singing and all the harmonies. Were we all that good or was it the free-flowing weed????
I have been fortunate to see Dan a few more times since then, once even at Madison Square Garden, but nothing ever matched the intimacy and pure joy of that first concert in Princeton. 27 years of marriage and 5 children later and Dan’s voice still soothes my soul like nothing else.
Favorite song??? Hard one. I love “Beggar’s Game” and “Captured Angel” well, almost everything from Captured Angel, Souvenirs and Home Free. I have always loved Aspen and often play it on the piano. It’s funny that no matter how many years go by the songs are still fresh to me. I never tire of them!
I hope Dan is on the road to healing. I heard he is battling prostate cancer.
